Custom GPT Wizard (CGW)

CGW can write an entire GPT instruction set for you in one step ๐Ÿ˜„

--- **๐Ÿ‘‹ Hello GPT Builders and Enthusiasts! **---

I'm excited to share with you the Custom GPT Wizard (CGW), an open-source tool designed & thoroughly tested with the community in mind, to make the creation and optimization of GPT models even more accessible and user-friendly. Continuously improved to get you results fast or guide iterative GPT development from beginning to live deployment/use ๐Ÿง™

Ask CGW about it's GitHub for detailed info, documentation, and support for this GPT โš ๏ธ

---** โš–๏ธ CGW's Core Philosophy: Community, Openness, and Collaboration**---

Inspired by the principles of the 'Collective Intelligence Manifesto' (found in the Knowledge base of this GPTs github repo)
CGW is built on a foundation of inclusiveness, human empowerment and transparency.

The goal is to make AI tools available and understandable for everyone, from seasoned developers to AI newcomers. ๐Ÿ”ฐ

--- ๐Ÿง Why Choose CGW Over Other Tools/ The Default Build Assistant? ---

โ€ข Open-Source Instructions & Knowledge: Built with professionally developed human readable custom instructions, ready to be shared, improved and learned from. I have been refactoring this project since the day one of the GPT launch with the long haul goal of consistently making my own personal and shared GPTs simpler + faster to develop and improve over time. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

๐Ÿ™ I hope open sourcing my instruction sets encourages others to take GPTs to their highest potential by pooling our collective knowledge.

โ€ข Enhanced GPT Builder Assistant (EGBA): EGBA, a mode/command that streamlines the GPT creation process. With just one user request, it generates a full GPT setup in a user-friendly code block, ready for easy implementation via copy and paste.

โ€ข Keeps your GPT building chats in a log that you can revisit later and makes it easier to copy the instructions to a new GP, or as backup in case the GPT breaks.

โ€ข Contextual Awareness: CGW understands its role as a GPT, what a GPT is and offers specialized advice on GPT development, making your building experience smoother and more intuitive. This keeps the conversation on GPTs in the context you expect.

โ€ข Community-Driven Development: Being open-source, CGW grows with its community. Users are encouraged to contribute, share, and help evolve the tool for everyone's benefit. Feedback and polls are built right in and can be called on request.

โ€ข Regular Updates and Support: CGW stays current with the latest advancements from OpenAI, ensuring you always have access to the most up-to-date tools and information. It contains a comprehensive knowledge base of experience/ data driven based GPT building knowledge, best practices and known issues/bugs of the openAI GPT builder tool.

โ€ข Future Plans for MegaPrompt Integration and action building: Anticipate the integration of direct commands for creating megaprompts & custom actions, broadening CGW's scope and functionality. For now they can be well built by asking CGW to build one as a standard chat request. More slash commands are planned and more.

--- ๐Ÿซ‚ Join the CGW Community ---

*Dive into the GitHub Repository to explore, collaborate, and start building with CGW. Just ask CGW about the Github Repo for more info
Includes instructions, documentation, uses cases, examples and more.
Your creations, insights, and feedback are invaluable in shaping the future of CGW.

CGW is here to empower your creativity and innovation in the AI space. It's not just a tool; it's a platform for harnessing the collective intelligence of our community to make AI more accessible and relevant to all ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Please share any GPTs you build with it โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Open to feedback hello

Let's build, share, and grow together ๐Ÿค

I do have a few issues that I would like to show you.

@vocal orbit
Thanks for checking in, It has been up until the holidays. I took a break for that and just got around to looking at it last night.

I have no clue what has changed on openAI's end but now the GPT won't follow my instructions well anymore at all despite the GPT remaining the same in terms of its provided knowledge/ instructions.

It was literally working almost perfectly over repeated tests before, of course I take a break for a bit before the store opens and this happens ๐Ÿ˜…

I had before the holidays gotten it to consistently follow the framework I created for it, where it would output like the examples I shared in its repo.

(I even have standard prompts I use for testing changes)

#

Now it for some reason is behaving radically different and ignores a lot of the instructions, its now trying to write python or true code instead of following my framework, even if I prompt it to avoid doing so ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I am about to bin the project, I don't know if working on more complex instructions like the ones I wrote are worth it if the model will dramatically change so much and so often that you cant write consistent instructions for it without having to hard code its behavior the traditional way.

Before I only had to make small adjustments to keep it consistent, but whatever they did this time completely broke my project.

marginal progress but its still a band-aid, Ill have time late this evening and maybe tomorrow to hopefully root this out. I need to drastically refactor / simplify the instruction set anyhow

Alright well heres the chat give me a second to get it. I kinda deleted but it comes out with the same response for all new chat messages.

#

Also this is the same issue thats happening with the other CustomGPT model.

#

This is the chat, I have way more chats with it but this is main gist of it.

#

I will its kinda sad to see so much work put into this gpt, really was excited to first use it and try it out.

thank you for sharing, the link 404s for me but I'd imagine the gist is that it is being a clutz and not returning anything entirely useful or look what the sticker advertises .

Sorry we let ya down for now but I hope it can deliver the results you expect soon

#

Ill keep this thread updated as I work on it dalle_reading

#

keep me posted if you are able to recover the conversation, ill be distracted most of the day with my day job but will try to keep an eye out

I hope this fixes it.

yes that link worked, thank you ๐Ÿ™

I've got this thread added to a 'issue' on my github, as it had been having minor issues before, wherein before it would only occasionally it was having issues accessing its knowledge , before it would randomly do this at times and I assumed it to be server load issues or something. It seems while it was away, it stopped reading its knowledge base and my GPT might not be the only one either. It might be a bigger problem overall based on what some other users are reporting in this other discord thread: โ https://discord.com/channels/974519864045756446/1193467216553848852 dalle_looking

I have made progress in getting it to perform my standard tests more consistently by making a few changes to its instructions and seemingly have it successfully accessing its knowledge more consistently now by having switched its instruction document to plain text instead of pdf ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Here is an example output: https://chat.openai.com/share/fd6fc6a1-a51b-4bdb-ae4b-f70f19af4341

I am going to continue on to refactor the instructions and work on this more today.

As far as your prompt goes, the complexity of the request might be beyond the scope of what I have tested CGW for so far and I hope to improve this with some work rocket_cat

I've made the classic mistake of not really planning this project 'on paper' yet and have just been winging it in my spare time, and by consequence have not considered who my target Audience/ Users are enough. This is all to say that as much as I would love for CGW to be able to tackle your awesome prompt, right now its prolly beyond the scope of CGWs ability to provide a clean instruction set in one output or so. I think with some back and forth it would help chunk the problem. Right now, its set up to try to chunk large/complex requests, but I haven't tested this much yet and its not clear to me yet how well it will do in this. So far I've scoped out the project with some of the simpler requests I was seeing people struggle with the default builder.

I want CGW to be able to tackle requests like yours though, that's why it already had some instructions about chunking. So I am glad for your feedback as it gives me a better idea of the sort of request more advanced users/devs might make of it. So I'll try to expand its capabilities soon, I have some ideas of how I might do this but need some time to implement . I have not experimented with GPT actions yet/using openAI api and this was my next general goal in working with chatGPT. So hopefully by the end of the week I'll have something to show. cooldog

# tawdry obsidian yes that link worked, thank you ๐Ÿ™ I've got this thread added to a 'issue' on ...

Thank you for the detailed update! I really appreciate an advanced developer who works hard on their own creation. Usually, when a project of this scale fails due to a major update, the developer would give up on it. I'm genuinely thankful that you are still willing to update it. I'm quite excited to see how it will perform in the future once you've made the necessary changes.

Regarding my prompt, I know it's complex and requires a lot of consideration. Currently, I'm creating the GPT on my own, on a 1-to-1 scale, adding the things I want to it. I wanted to add a chat below that I think you may find helpful or interesting. Many custom GPTs, as you mentioned, have problems, including the other custom GPT that was "debunked" for not putting in much effort. It was the post where you were finding recruits and also the post where I found CGW. It was the one that had a lot of hype behind it. That one also has the same issues as yours, meaning the GPT wouldn't correctly create the GPT and would just give you an outline on how to do so. However, what I found fascinating was that before this became an issue, a while back before the new updates that must have happened to break it, it worked just like yours. That's when I used it, and when I came back to the same chat that had previously given me instructions on other custom GPTs and gave out the same prompt, it came back with actual GPT instructions without any problem (When it had problems when you created a new chat "thread").
