Name displayed in Chat GPT is different from the one in the Builder profile

There seems to be a bug in Chat GPT. The name displayed in Chat GPT is different from the one in the Builder profile, even after changing the name in OpenAI's settings.

Hi, I believe it pulls from your billing name, not the name in the location in your screenshot. Your billing name can be found on the "Manage my subscription" page, which is linked here on ChatGPT: https://chat.openai.com/#pricing

Note that I think it is possible that editing your billing name could cause issues if there's a mismatch between your payment info and your set billing name, but I'm only guessing there.

Thank you for your response! However, I was wondering if in the future, the name that will appear in the Builder profile will be the username rather than the billing name. Is that a possibility? TY ! 😇

You are welcome! I am not sure myself--I hope so! Right now the only two ways to publish a GPT publicly are to include your billing name, or to verify a website, so I too have my fingers crossed that we get the ability to publish GPTs with more anonymity, hopefully by the time the Store launches!
