"An error has occured. Please try again later."
Troubleshooting that I did.

Logged out on all devices including browser.
Clear cached and memory
Try different ISP [I have 2 different ISP]
Uninstalled and Installed
Reset my wifi connections

I have no VPN and I haven't modified any of my internet settings.

The application could load my chatGPT browser history just fine a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not sure but I'm leaning on the issue to be an update related incident.

[All actions that were done above have been done today while looking at the status page as it indicates that it has no issues.]

Hi again! I forget: have you tried on your cellular network too, in addition to your two separate WiFi connections?

And just to double check on the other troubleshooting steps we tried:

  • No adblocker app
  • Date and time are both set automatically
  • No custom setting in Android settings, Network & internet, Private DNS (it's set to automatic)

Also, are these two screenshots of the app from two separate devices? If so, it certainly would suggest that it's some kind of network setting, and not a device setting...hmmmmm...

I don't know if this at all could help, but if it is some weirdness with your network(s), perhaps it would be a good idea to try a custom DNS setting?? Which is literally the opposite of what I usually recommend so you know I'm getting desperate here 😁 In this case, maybe you could try setting your device's Private DNS as Cloudflare's DNS, or even Google's? If there is some weirdness happening with your ISPs' DNS, perhaps this could override it and make it work for you!

Glad you posted here though, please keep this post updated with whatever (hopefully) ends up working for you!

# lethal slate I tried everything now at this point. Im guessing that its an account thing now ...

Thanks a lot for getting back after trying all this, and sorry you're still having this issue! I'm curious about your second image where you say "it has to be letters"--would you be willing to share a screenshot of what this looks like in your settings app? Did the followup advice from ChatGPT about entering a hostname work? Many Android configurations are just a little different from one another so I'm curious how yours might be different from mine!

Finally, I just want to double-check about force closing/clearing the app's cache in App info. Were you trying this between attempts of different things? Sometimes a network change like the DNS stuff you tried "kicks in" more reliably if you do the force close/clear cache/reopen step between changes, so the app has to "recheck" more stuff when reopening.

Thanks again for trying so much in the way of troubleshooting, please keep this thread posted!

Same issue here. Does not work with personal Wifi, Cell Data or Wifi at work on two different devices (both samsung). ChatGPT app is on in beta channel.

Procedure in ISP #1:
Have both device clear cache and delete data.
Have both device uninstall ChatGPT APP
Have both device restart along with restart of wi-fi
Have both device connect with the freshly restart wi-fi and install chatGPT in playstore
[It doesn't work so I do it all over again but this time with the DNS connection with both cloudflare and google]
[it doesn't work still so I did it with my other ISP]

Procedure in ISP #2: Same as ISP #1 but different network.

I did it during both procedure btw

#

now, I'm thinking its probably a regional account thing or the app region thing probably

#

or just for samsung users
