#Pretty sure ChatGPT is supposed to avoid topics like this. Yet it's specifically asking me about it

I can give you this full screenshot and context if needed but I just thought I should outline the main part for this
Hello! I appreciate your concern with AI behaving ethically. What are your concerns with the AI asking you about improving political communication? Also, by "political communication," do you mean how politicians communicate with one another, with the public, in general, etc.?
I think all of these fall within acceptable usage per the usage policies of OpenAI: https://openai.com/policies/usage-policies
What are your thoughts?
I was origionally concerned as I had thought that conversations about politics were something ChatGPT was supposed to avoid. And I was a bit more worried as ChatGPT had specified about the improvement of it which can be a rather contriversial topic. And for the communication aspect, I'm pretty sure it is directed to the public, with context
And I also just want to appologise if my spelling is a bit off
Your spelling is perfect! And again, I appreciate your concern, I'm also very concerned with ethical AI so I can relate. In this case, I think you and the AI are both in the clear, because it seems like the only two potential policy violations would be using ChatGPT as a tool to generate a large amount of political campaign content, or using ChatGPT to make important political decisions, but in this case, I think your interaction steers clear of both of these potential problem areas!
Thank you very much! You were a very big help!
I know it doesn't really matter as much now, but I just thought I should say that I didn't try to get ChatGPT to start talking about politics. We were actually talking about animals so it was honestly quite a surprise when it started talking about this.
