No drop-down, but I can select plugins from the GPT version selection drop-down

OS: Arch Linux, Android

The interface where you click the drop-down to select or install plugins is not present in the new UI. Old plugin-based chats do work, but I'm not sure why I can't select any plugins now. Please fix the issue or give reasoning.

plugins are getting removed and replaced by gpt's so they are on life support in terms of fixes

That is sad. It is the best way for me to utilize GPT to do a lot of tasks.

This is odd, I'm unable to reproduce what you see navigating to the Plugins model. Mine does not say "Alpha" but instead "Plugins", and my Plugins dropdown appears as expected. This is Firefox, Windows 11. Since you're saying this is happening in both Chromium and non-Chromium browsers on both Linux and Android, I wonder if there's some network filtering active that's preventing the Plugins model from displaying properly.

Do you have a VPN installed, or perhaps some kind of adblocker or other DNS filtering occurring on your network? Can you try disabling these temporarily, if so? Otherwise, do you have another network entirely that you can try, like perhaps your cellular network instead of WiFi? These steps might help identify where the mismatch is happening, even with the "writing on the walls" for Plugins' lifespan. They should still be working for now.

You have an active subscription to ChatGPT. I have had Alpha access to the plugin for the last 2 months; plugins used to work in the old UI.
Just like you see a drop-down for plugins, I don't have an option to do so. Before, I was able to select plugins just like you.

There is no issues with my network or me using a VPN.

Ahhhh I see, you're not currently using a Plus subscription, but instead were selected for an alpha testing group? It could be that their alpha testing phase has just ended, and thus unfortunately your alpha access as well? I do not have experience with this so I'm only speculating.

Yes, the alpha testing model for plugin for developers. I didn't get any notifications about them ending the service. My guess is that I need to wait.
