updated it to recommend sites with free-to-use references / inspiration. many more conversation starter questions that are relevant. and using python to create simple blockouts if they want to kickstart their scene.
@thorn basin What knowledge does it use?
Was gonna make one by just importing a bunch of transcripts of overly long blender tutorials on youtube lol
that might have problems with outdated tutorials. and Blender very recently updated to 4.0
I was going to check and export Blender's own documentation, but the sites seem to be down.
I should definitely add keymap files for latest versions. it's been added
seems like their sites were being attacked. no wonder I couldn't access it. is resolved
wpw ;p;
I don't know what that means...
It's updated to reference the official 'Blender 4.0 Manual' site for up-to-date instructions / guidance.
I considered downloading the 'Blender 4.0 Manual' but it is quite fragmented (2k+ .html files)
and uploaded a Keyboard Shortcuts .pdf file to its knowledge
You can just download the manual as a document as an epub and then convert it to PDF
It's actually readable by the gpt without using code intepreter
Here
Smart thinking. Buuut I keep getting errors trying to upload that... is there a file size limit / exceeding max tokens perhaps? Either errors or infinite loading.
I was able to upload it without problems (here's my GPT using it here), so I think it just takes long to load
I suggest uploading it first and waiting at least an hour or so on the page
@thorn basin How does it recommend relevant youtube videos?
Does it read the title and descriptions
Is it linked to youtube api
or just has browsing enabled and looks it up?
How much does it slow it down when it has to read it compared to without.
Ideally it shouldn't have to think about it for ages to answer.
Currently it's set up to find relevant tutorials just via browsing enabled.
I have more knowledge in blender and the arts than I do APIs and the like.
I plan to add more knowledge regarding where artists can look to find community like art & Blender discords and various sites. How to ask for human feedback (ie. patience, not asking to ask, etc). How to use references, and what software like PureRef could help.
Questions seem to take around 30 seconds at first
At most
Sometimes it's significantly shorter
Alright, I'll try adding the file again sometime.
Alright, I finally managed to get it uploaded with GPT builder (directly still didn't work). I've also added mention of PureRef & Allusion (nifty stuff) and information regarding how to get feedback / ask questions from real people. And link to Blender's official list of communities.
