@zealous shuttle @ember swallow I'm having some success with this GPT (see chat https://chat.openai.com/share/faf354da-efee-4633-9323-112648940715)

I'm using a revised prompt authored by GPT-4 attached. Sometimes it asks multiple questions at once but seems to do good with the verdict

I will test this out right now. Thank you so much for the help! Ideally we want it to ask one at a time, but bigger issue for me has been that it gives incorrect recommendations.

it's probably the "ask all relevant questions" that's getting it to do that. probably easy to fix

It did make a mistake on the 2nd student but rest were correct.

you might get better results if you do each student one at a time

#

tbh I was expecting much worse for that chat xD

haha I try to write how people type when customers ask for information

lmfao 😂

#

I didn't even think of that

#

as a last resort you could probably ask it to enforce a one-at-a-time rule

because we want to automate some chats online with this but people usually dont talk in full sentences or anything most of the times haha

Changed the bottom sentence in the prompt to "Ask all relevant questions one-at-a-time before deciding on a level. You should never assess multiple simultaneous students - it's one after the other."

#

might help with overwhelming the bot

thank you so much for the help! I will work on it more and then ask if I have any other questions. I really appreciate the help!

I'm happy you like the result! tbh I just asked ChatGPT to clarify the original prompt, copypasted its output, and added that bit at the end xD
