When I click the picture for a custom GPT and select "Upload Photo" from the popup menu, nothing happens. No file dialog appears, no prompt to upload a photo, nothing. I've tried this in two different browser/OS combinations (Safari on macOS, Firefox on Linux) and it doesn't work on either.

#

Selecting Upload Photo doesn't output any diagnostic info to the console either.

Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Edit a custom GPT
  2. Click the GPT's profile icon
  3. Click "Upload Photo"

Expected result:

A file dialog should appear, prompting me to select the image to upload.

Actual result:

The popup menu closes (as normally happens when selecting an item from a popup menu) but there is no prompt to upload an image.

Additional information

Browser: Safari
OS: macOS

Browser: Firefox
OS: Arch Linux

Now I’m getting the prompt to upload a profile picture, but when I select one, nothing happens. If I instead upload the file through the chat interface and ask it to set that as the profile picture, then it appears to work properly, but when I save it, the change doesn’t actually persist. (This has the side effect of adding the image to the knowledge section as well, and this change does persist.)

Two weeks later, the Upload Photo option still isn't working. Uploading it through the chat interface and saving it does persist now...temporarily. I did it earlier and it looked like it worked, but then when I loaded it later, it just displayed the text "GPT" there, and it looked like alt text, like it wasn't able to load the image.
