GPT 4 is acting like 3.5, and is limiting its own self.

Im facing the issue, as it reverts back to 3.5 automatically even though I have not passed the 50 message mark in 3hrs.

I encountered same sometimes even just after a single server error, and several chats with this permanently changed to 3.5 even if I do not prompt 3.5 (I stop using the specific char fter seeing 3.5)
