Subscribed to GPTPlus yet GPT 4 still unavailable

I subscribed to GPT Plus today. GPT 4 is shown available to use. However, starting a conversation with GPT 4 gave me a response as "The previous model used in this conversation is unavailable. We've switched you to the latest default model." The model was automatically changed to GPT 3.5. I completely my subscription on website, and tried out conversations on website, too. I also tried to use the app, and found out there was not even an option for me to use GPT 4.

Does clicking on "Manage my subscription", letting it load, then returning to ChatGPT do anything for you?

it seemed to... But whenever I refresh the page, the icon of GPT turns into the green GPT 3.5 one and the conversation can only be proceeded with 3.5 thereafter.

@south topaz Did you happen to subscribe via the iOS app? If so, the issue seems to resolve itself after a few hours (and there appears to be no other options except waiting).

This happened to me (and some other users) in the past few days and there seems to be a bug.

If you didn't subscribe via the iOS app, then disregard the above and please note your process in more detail / how to replicate the issue.

Mine is the same, ive been subscribed for like the past 4 months and this is only happening today

if i log out and in, it sometimes fixes it and clearing cookies. But then it happens again like after 5 mins

I've read about some delays too specifically from subscribing in the app. Super frustrating, but sounded temporary from what I've read. Hope it resolves soon for you!

I heard someone try going to "My plan" then "Manage my subscription." Then letting it load, and then returning to ChatGPT. Otherwise, you can try browser stuff like clear cookies/cache, private tab, or a whole different browser.

Facing the same problem. It keeps snapping back to 3.5. Really frustrating.
Seems to work fine on the Android app though.

Perhaps a related issue when using the web platform - GPT-4 is locked, and when I click upgrade it shows my current Plus plan 🤷

I have the same exact issue. I upgraded to ChatGPT Plus yesterday, I was initially able to use GPT-4, but if I try right now, the same thing happens to me. Hovering on GPT-4 prompts me to upgrade to Plus, and when I click on the Upgrade button, it tells me I am already on the Plus plan.
