I had an issue with my payment processing because my credit card had expired and my subscription couldn't get renewed. As a result, all of my chats that were previously using GPT4 switch back to GPT3.5.
I had paid for the GPT4 subscription and I can now use it, but my chats never returned back to GPT4.
Is there a way to re-enable GTP4 for all my saved chats?
Any help would be gladly appreciated!

Unfortunately I don't think there's a way currently to switch back to GPT-4. Your best bet might be to just copy/paste critical context from your old chats into new GPT-4 ones.

Thank you. This really sucks because I had so many saved chats that are specific for my areas of my life plus work plus studies. OpenAI definitely needs to fix this limitation.

One thing to keep in mind is the context window. GPT can't remember forever, and when it hits the context window, old data is automatically forgotten. So depending on how long the chat was that you're talking about, it had likely already forgotten the oldest parts. The context window is a hard data limit on LLMs. So, you might try copy/pasting certain critical context into a fresh chat, and you should be able to get back to a similar chat experience soon from there 👍

Yeah about that. This has proven to be extremely difficult. Before, the entire chat chain was perfect through and out. It was understanding all of my requests perfectly. Now that chat is useless, and I can't replicate it. Any new attempts can't even follow simple directions. It's really odd.

Alternatively now I'm trying to just make the desired bot as a custom GPT. One that works from the start of any conversation. So far, it is working, but only a quarter of the time. The other 3/4 of the time the bot does the literal opposite of what I instructed.
