So I imagine the "twisted, sinuous..." turns into a regular long sword? I use Japanese style/character a fair amount and found certain associations are pretty hard to break, like, a Japanese female would often show up in kimono even when the prompt didn't call for it and the situation didn't suggest it. So, it's not surprising that any "blade" would turn into a sword when associated with a character defined with Japanese historical reference.
