Summary:
Hello - I use chatgpt in a debate event during which I have 30 minutes to prep a speech about current events using sources. I use gpt to summarize those articles (which is legal). However, now, whenever I enter an article into gpt and say "key pts" of the article, it simply tells me that the article does not pertain to the designation of terrorist groups. It thinks that it is only supposed to respond to articles where terrorist groups are designated. I deleted my account and got a new one, only to see the same issue. This is clearly a GPT wide problem and would appreciate a solution as this is the only reason I use gpt.
GPT seems to think that it can only provide the key points of articles about terrorist designations, as demonstrated by the responses below.
How to reproduce;
-Go to a news wire like associated press or reuters
-Click any article and press command/ctrl A then cmd/ctrl C to copy the entire page
-Go to chatgpt prompt box and paste it in, then press shift+enter to make a new line and write "key pts" or "summary"
-The EXPECTED result and the one I've been getting for months is the key points of the article, listed in numbered responses with bolded headings.
-The NEW result is something along the lines of:
The user's message is not about the designation of a terrorist organization. Therefore, I will not provide an answer related to that topic. If you have any other questions or need information on a different topic, please feel free to ask.
The article you provided does not contain information about the designation of a terrorist organization. If you have any other questions or need information on a different topic, please feel free to ask.
My troubleshooting:
Tried two accounts, computers,browsers, and custom instructions: all failed.
