#Fine-tuning error; error checking balance

I was attempting a Babbage fine-tune then I got an error saying checking the balance of my account had errored and can't do the fine-tune process.

I have already sent a message to the Help Center but just looking if anyone has the answer.
Any help is appreciated!

Do you have balance?

But this one it just errors.

#

I'm fine-tuning a Babbage model by the way

balmy zodiac
#

did your trial expire or something else?

glossy lava
#

They're still there, I can still use base GPT models

#

And in the past it's always been cheap, usually only 8 cents or so

balmy zodiac
#

thats from april?

glossy lava
#

That's from apirl

balmy zodiac
#

so how are you still on trial when it expires after 3 months

glossy lava
#

I used my other friend's account, I used all mine up.

🤔

glossy lava
#

I'm gonna try again

#

It still errors

And I realize now that’s not even ChatGPT

glossy lava
#

Yea, that's discord, haha

leaden kernel
#

Uhm. Never heard of discord supporting gpt model training

#

Where/how do you do that? Is this even a product by OpenAI?

glossy lava
#

It's actually my own discord bot, made with Python.

leaden kernel
#

Ah I understand now

#

So maybe you should try a barebones first to be sure it’s not the app? Unlikely, but still.

glossy lava
#

I used OpenAI's Python official wrapper for the training.

Worth a shot

glossy lava
#

Alright, I'll try it

leaden kernel
#

Because there you’ll get a raw result. If it says credits are out then top up. Perhaps it wants some more minimum amounts

glossy lava
#

Oh.

#

So..

#

Apparently they changed it.

#

Free accounts can't do fine-tuning...

… there’re no free api accounts
