The one I used was very specific to the blue character, but you can try something like this for a more universal approach:

Create a character in a comic book style of the late 2010's. Generate a range of unique items and accessories suitable for character design. These should harmoniously combine the elements present in the image, such as ornate jewelry, weapons, mechanical devices, clothing features, and distinct color palettes. Create a character with their items in an aesthetically appealing manner that is adaptable to various settings and narratives. Ensure a diversity of designs that can be integrated into different character archetypes and backgrounds.

It would be even better if you first provide an image or a couple of images of characters you find on like pinterest or something, then ask for a fused detailed description of the provided characters as a single original character, then combine the prompt I provided with that merged description to try and come up with different styles for viewing equipment for various custom characters.

Here's a different prompt you can try for Dall-e:

Character Design
1. **Conceptualization**: Dedicate time to ideation and brainstorming, considering elements like the character's origins, superpowers or abilities, and psychological traits. Tailor these attributes to enable adaptability across various narrative contexts.
2. **Physical Attributes**: Design the physical aspects—facial features, physique, and other bodily proportions—in meticulous detail. These attributes should not only be aesthetic but should also signify something about the character's origin or powers.

Unique Items and Accessories
1. **Ornate Jewelry**: Craft intricate jewelry that serves a dual purpose: as an aesthetic embellishment and as a functional item. For instance, a necklace could be a family heirloom that also serves as a source of the character's power.
2. **Weapons**: Design weapons that are visually striking but also practical within the context of the character's abilities. They should be easily wieldable and directly tied to the character’s skills or origin.
3. **Mechanical Devices**: Integrate cutting-edge technology or arcane machinery that complements the character's skill set. Ensure that these devices are visually coherent with the rest of the character's design.
4. **Clothing Features**: Implement various textiles, patterns, and armor types to convey both style and function. Consider how clothing could interact dynamically with the character's movements or powers.
5. **Color Palette**: Employ a distinct color scheme that not only harmonizes all the elements but also enriches the character's persona. The colors should evoke certain moods or themes relevant to the character.

Adaptability & Diversity
1. **Multi-Contextual**: Make the character design adaptable to a variety of settings—be it a dystopian future, mythical past, or an alternate reality—by creating modular aspects that can be easily modified.
2. **Archetypal Versatility**: Construct additional elements like alternative costumes, weapons, or devices that can be swapped out to fit various archetypes and backgrounds.

Quality Assurance
1. **Consistency Checks**: Regularly scrutinize all design elements for logical and aesthetic coherence. Revise designs that appear incongruent or that do not align with the era’s style.
2. **User Testing**: Use focus groups or social media polling targeted at comic book aficionados to gather feedback. Make iterative refinements based on this data.

By adopting this structured approach, you will not only create a character that is visually compelling but also one that is versatile across multiple storytelling mediums, thereby offering greater creative latitude for future endeavors.```

Awesome...thanks! I'm working on getting better with this medium, and some people's work seems to be beyond me. I know that it is just learning the prompts and exploring, but things like this help me, and the rest of the community.

My background is as a photographer (Combat and Forensics from the Air Force and then Police - hence FlyingBacon), so this lets me get back to being creative...it is just a learning curve...thanks for the encouragement.
