I'm really pulling my hair out on this one. It's never happened to me before and I've been using ChatGPT for many months now.

Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Pay for a "Plus" subscription.
  2. Open Google Chrome, log in to chat.openai.com using Google credentials.
  3. Click GPT-4.
  4. In the "Send a message box", send a prompt.

Expected result:

The prompt should be actioned.

Actual result:

A "Verify that you are human" Captcha puzzle (exactly the same one every time).
Once solved, ChatGPT responds one time. The next prompt that I issue causes the exact same

afaik using linux often causes them to trigger but ive seen some people get rid of the issue by using extension that sets custom user agent and then using some windows browser agent

dallestar Amazing! Thanks @velvet kettle . I installed the User-Agent Switcher and Manager Chrome extension and applied the "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/113.0.5666.197 Safari/537.36" user agent. So far, no captchas! Yay! Finally, I can actually get on and do some work.

How incredibly annoying, frustrating and unfair to users not using Windows. OpenAI really are toying with their paying customers. It's so unnecessary. I was about to give Bard and some others a go instead just to be able to keep working.

Spoke too soon. Now all I get is: Please stand by, while we are checking your browser... Followed by a CLOUDFLARE message and then it loops endlessly.
