Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

Tell chatgpt to use a promp exactly as written. It will then generate the same image multiple times even after telling it to use a random seed.

Expected result:

It should generate a new image with a random seed. Bing Dalle3 is already doing this.

Actual result:

The identical image gets generated multiple times

The devs confirmed this was intended behavior for reproducing bugs/testing. I was told there is no ETA on when it'll be moved to random seeds

various places where curators/mods address this. Just do a keyword search for "Fixed Seed" and you'll find the convos about it.

They do reference it being fixed to seed 5000, and that this will change in the future.
