I have only noticed this with 3.5. I was using it to generate code from structured english and it kept putting user interrupts in the code. I checked my delimiters and whatever but it was 3.5 doing it. Also, I had to repeatedly tell it to generate entire code and not cut and paste snippets. When i switched to 4 it didn't insert extra code but it did have to be told repeatedly about the snippet resuls. One thing I and several other users had noticed in the last coupla weeks that a conversation would start in 4 and unnoticed switch back to 3.5. We all identified it the same way. All off a sudden 4 got really stupid. Still though, chatgpt has saved me from a lot of tedious detail work.

I know it's too late, but I've missed the stupid conversations. Most of them were on GPT-3.5.

I also subscribe to Plus and feel okay with it. GPT-4 is good, but the thing that made me refund it is that GPT-4 is bad at coding, and most of my time is spent coding. So, I would be happy if we had a new feature for coding, such as generating efficient and scalable code or fixing errors.

I mostly work with Next.js as a web developer, and most of the things I don't like about GPT-4 are that it doesn't know the latest version of Next.js, it doesn't know the current news, and sometimes when I want it to fix an error, it responds with an old code that is filled with more errors.
