Same here. I've done all of the usual troubleshooting. Clear cache, different browsers, etc... It seems to come up and down randomly

This is something to do with a verification process or something on the server side. Noone at my work is able to access the site on company machines. This began Friday out of the blue and has still not been resolved

I'm having problems with my MacOs for work, though a cowoker of mine, which also uses a MacOs and a VPN like mine is not having issues with the same account, he can use it.

I'm wondering if you all are having problems in your workplace with ChatGPT

I wish they would publish something about changes that could be breaking on the client side. Changes to verification processes, or other things can very easily cause problems for some of us at work which will not be widespread enough to reach the front of the bug resolution queue quickly.

I had this. chatgpt links to oaistatic, which was blocked by my custom dns, resulting in chatgpt not loading properly. that is probably why and you can check this by checking your browser development network logs. either use a different dns server, or unblock that domain on your dns.

in most cases a VPN will work too, if it bypasses your current DNS server

Yeah, it was a DNS issue switched from opendns to 1.1.1.1

Not a DNS blocking issue but probably that openDNS has a wrong ip address in their table

Same here, back in business. I wish they would give some kind of public notice on what might be happening. It's certainly happening to enough people. Annoying I pay for the service and didn't get the use it for almost a week out of the month.

it looks like they're no longer using the domain that was blocked by some DNS resolvers, that's probably why 'it's working again'

I just started getting this issue today across all browsers, Opera, Edge, and even on mobile in Safari

And I just switched from Quad9 to Cloudflare which fixed it so it's definitely a DNS issue

This is still happening, I tried changing DNS to multiple types (cloudflare, adguard, google, none) and it still doesn't seem to be working, even on cell data with no external DNS on. I also tried with a VPN on one of the devices I'm having the issue on with also no luck.

Console says “ERR_CONNECTION_RESET” for a bunch of resources, the weird thing was that I had this error like a 5 days back and then after 2 days it worked fine and now am getting this error again

Since this is not a small user specific issue and it’s affecting a lot of PAYING users, I think OpenAI needs to look into this seriously

Yeah but the thing is, most of us use it on our work computers that require a VPN connection in order to access the internet, and also, the site used to work fine up until the start of this week, how can a large number of users encounter the same error at exactly the same time

The response I got from OpenAI support was nonsense. ChatGPT itself is more helpful and context aware about this issue.

The following website is blocked by my organization: cdn.oaistatic.com

This has been confirmed by my browser console too as it’s unable to pull resources from this particular website since it’s blocked

For those who use a work computer, there’s no other choice than to request your sys admin to unblock the website (whitelist)

For those who encounter this problem on their personal computers, there are various ways to bypass this

My inability to access it on cell data sometimes might be a cache issue, I'm happy with that conclusion.

Going to the webpage and hitting continue on my variant of a block screen clears up the problem immediately.

Yes, this domain was registered around a month ago and hence it’s blocked by many.. (since it’s new)

You can ask your system administrator to whitelist the website and flush dns, everything should work fine

That's not a realistic solution for most workplaces.
The only actual option is to cancel your account and look for ai chat services elsewhere.
I'm shocked that this seems to be what openAI wants as these kinds of issues have not persisted for more than a day before.

interestingly enough, it's working just fine today again. I am running into the exact same errors mentioned above.

If I use an android emulator and emulate a free VPN, I can then use Chatgpt through the mobile site. The emulated mobile app does not work.
I only tried this because Chatgpt works just fine on my phone on the Wi-Fi.
Idk if this service is worth the hassle

a screenshot of the page isnt going to help much, better to show a screenshot of the errors thrown in the console/network. otherwise it's close to saying 'it don't work..'
