Forced to solve captcha repeatedly

Every message I submit causes this captcha to pop up. It's not easy to solve and often takes longer than it did to type out the question and wait for the response.

Not saying you've changed something but your requests look sus. So again I'm curious if you are using some odd software, browser, or accessing the site in a non standard way.

I created a new firefox profile and went through the login process again. Got hit with another captcha 436178521fc7a7025.1222313801

and sending a second message gets another captcha 97217852218265836.9174728701

it might be ublock and sentry.io

also seeing 429 errors from sentry.io which is weird

This is getting insane, I'm getting a captcha on EVERY SINGLE message I send to chatGPT, It's to the point it's coming unsable.

I'm using Brave browser and nord VPN, but I use Brave browser and nord VPN everywhere and nobody else makes me solve a captcha every 30 seconds.

the problem was gone for a week without doing anything, and then i installed a Chrome extension for some chatGPT stuff, and the issue reappears again

so much time consuming , I have to pass 5 tests each time I submit a prompt and I spent more time on the captcha rather then the prompt itself ( not even an easy puzzle ) I had previously reached out to OpenAI support when i got the issues for the first time and the answer was :

1. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies
2. Disable VPN (If you are using one)
3. Use an incognito browser or a different internet browser/computer to see if the issue still persists, as a security add-in or extension can occasionally cause this type of error.
4. Disable cookie blockers
5. Try connecting to another network

already tried everything suggested in their responses and there's no change

Hello everyone, I used a strategy from @clear sun that has previously proven effective , You just closed your browser and messed with your computer's time. When you reload GPT, you will find that the puzzle has reappeared. Close GPT and restore the time, then reopen GPT again, and the puzzle will disappears. And the problem is finally resolved.

Same thing happened to me. asking for captcha ever time and I'm unable to solve the newest one. I have prosopagnosia which is probably why I can't solve it. It also makes it illegal under the american's with disabilties act to deny service like this

I've spent 15 minutes tryint to solve these things and I've gotten none correct.

Maybe this is some new clever throttling by OpenAI? If we can never solve the captcha we don't use the system, so we don't use resources.

Maybe if I drop some acid my perception will match the image and I can solve it.

afaik its very common to get them with linux due its being used by many bot frameworks, you could try faking your browser user agent to some windows agent

The newly introduced verification code is too disruptive to use! Every time I send a message, it requires 10 rounds of answering questions for verification. It's simply impossible to use! I encounter the issue with both Arc browser and Safari, operating system is Sonoma.

what is your os & are you in an unauthorized country? Have you tried on mobile data from your phone?

I haven't had problems using ExpressVPN - although that can force a new login when using a different location.

As for browser... May be better to stick to Chrome.

I use Arc and Safari on macOS, both of which always encounter this verification issue. However, iOS works fine.
