Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

Open an existing chat in ChatGPT that is extremely long in length (many messages & responses). The chat I'm seeing the issue with I'm using to help generate individual cover letters for job applications by providing my resume and the role's job description.

I enter and submit a new message like the following
"Can you write a cover letter for the following position at XXXXXX using my resume and job description below? Remember not to copy anything verbatim from the job description.

JOB DESCRIPTION
....

RESUME
....

Wait for response

Expected result:

A tailored cover letter talking about my work experience related to the job description.

Actual result:

I've received various random responses talking about Greek Mythology, Induction Cooking and Bonsai Trees.

Are you using gpt-3.5 or 4?

That could be because of the context length. Does it do the same in a new chat?

Yes, likely the issue. New chats work fine. But i've been using this problem chat for months without any issue. Today it started with this random output
