Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start a new conversation with ChatGPT.
  2. After a few messages (less than five), ChatGPT will demand that the user answer one (OR MORE) CAPTCHA challenges before allowing the user to proceed with the conversation.

Expected result:

The user should not be asked to answer CAPTCHA challenges multiple times per conversation, to the point of making ChatGPT almost unusable.

Actual result:

ChatGPT constantly demands that the user answer one or more CAPTCHA challenges before proceeding with the conversation, multiple times per conversation.

Additional information

Browser: Firefox 117.0 (64-bit)
OS: MacOS Big Sur 11.7.9 (20G1426)

I'm not doing anything unusual or bot-like, and I have a premium account, and this has never happened until today.

This is time-consuming and distracting and makes ChatGPT almost unusable. It takes longer to answer the ridiculous CAPTCHAs than it does to actually interact with ChatGPT.

This seems completely intermittent, but it's happening very often. Hard to say exactly how often, but it's often enough that I can't just keep using it like this.

#

Wow. I tried to report one of ChatGPT's responses as being incorrect, and another godforsaken CAPTCHA came up over top of the feedback report window. This is nuts.

This started for me two weeks ago, and I have found myself using ChatGPT less to the point where I’m thinking about canceling my subscription.

I get a captcha every time, and I can't solve the new one at all!
