Its a joke. Especially since the Aug 3rd update which made it worse. The Devs do not give a damn sadly.

Getting the same error message, but haven't used it much since Aug 3.

Same

I get the error in both Chrome and Edge, but only on my work PC despite clearing cache, restarting PC, restarting browsers, etc.

Yep can confirm - repro'd in Brave (Chromium), Chrome and Firefox. Amazing PC. Fresh Windows boot. Just seems random. Plus chatgpt 4.

OMG i have exactly this, same scenario, I have a brand new 2023 laptop and doesn't matter if i use chrome, edge, or firefox, on VPN, off VPN, turn off windows defender anything.

the frustrating thing is it works on my old laptop with the same account and same browser extensions and settings.

i've tried everything. it does work on my phone though..

#

I had nordVPN installed on my computer. even though I only use it on rare occasion, if the application is running, you get this issue. I closed it and make sure it doesn't run on on computer startup and chatgpt suddenly works..

Ok, you don't have to reboot your machine or uninstall anything, you can open NordVPN, click on the "shield" icon (Threat Protection) in the left hand side-bar and disable :Web protection" and chatgpt works again

#

this "web protection" is actually running even when you're not connected to vpn
