I've been trying to get it to modify some code with code interpreter, but for some reason it keeps coming back with statements like these. Instead of doing the work, it just states that it is going to update me somehow when it completes the work.
I do not believe that is possible to begin with. And the last time I ended up in this position I spent several hours completing a task which should have taken only an hour at most.
It's entirely possible it is doing something on the back-end. It seems to suggest that it is upon further prompting.
But I would just like to know if this is usual behaviour or if this is some kind of issue that occurs from time to time.

I've not actually seen the button since they moved it lol. Part of that was because I had "Talk To GPT" extension which blocked that section of the screen.

I'm pretty sure the talk to GPT extension wouldn't have impacted anything either seeing as it is just a txt2speech>speech2txt process happening via the browsers own capability to do so.

no, the entirety of its processing happens during the time that it is generating the response, after the response is done the AI is not doing anything and no code is running

Funny. I actually had one really long conversation in this style where it actually did complete the task. It just took 3-4 hours instead of being done quickly
I can't find it now though
Though it did kind of feel like it was just stringing me along. This was just before they added the 50 message limit

In future if this happens it's a "start a new conversation" time.
