Ok its starting to work for me again

I am experiencing the same "Something went wrong" error reported by another user on the ChatGPT-4 platform. The issue has persisted despite various troubleshooting efforts on my end.

Sucks bro^ so tilting, especially seeing i paid for plus and was only like 90% copacetic with that experience to begin with, maybe 80%.

#

"Join plus and not be able to send prompts at all, how you like dat?"

Are you using nord @granite latch @warm arrow ? Turn off web protection and restart your browser, turn off any other similar VPN web protection and restart chrome. The nord solution worked for me

Same issue here with some javascript code. I just noticed they rolled out another update August 3rd so I assume this update messed something up. I don't use a VPN, cleared browser cache, tried another browser, incognito mode, another chat etc. but I keep getting errors when I put certain javascripts in the prompt. It doesn't happen with every script, but with some scripts I get the same error over and over.

same with python no web protection etc.

It's crazy how there is no way to report big outages like this... and their Chat support is terrible.

So, still loads of problems and no response from OpenAI whatsoever... even on twitter.

Was experiencing this yesterday, 4 didn't, 3.5 did, but then when I pasted smaller snippets of text on 4 it started working again. This morning I tried not even simple works, on web or android app. Seems like something serverside. I did use VPN for few requests since I was at a library. I feel like gpt is decent value but this is ridiculous. For small period last month I swear it was giving dumber responses, it's better around rollout of code interpreter, now it's literally not working. And support is so ridiculous. So frustrating

Exact same problem, still an issue with any kind of HTML code.

#

Happens on Chrome. Doesn't happen on Firefox Edit: It gives the same error on firefox too.

Same issue on firefox

Just here to mention that switching to Firefox also fixed the problem for me. I used a fresh installation of FF and did not import any settings/cookies/etc.

Some have said they tried FF and it didn't help, so perhaps there is a plugin or cache/settings preventing it from working for them (or it's simply a geolocation issue).

Either way, this issue really needs to be fixed soon because I am not coding a lot of menial things by hand ever again. No way.

Did you use a vpn recently?

#

My working theory of cope is, they had ddos attack few days ago and they probably started banning wrong account's / IPs

I have had this same issue with Windows and Mac, on the most recent Opera and Chrome
I then found out that if you remove the "[" and "]" it works, but that's not a good solution, especially for code
