Good evening, a few minutes ago, almost an hour. I have been unable to use the tool due to a fixed error "Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.". I get this when I send any kind of code that exceeds 10-15 lines, I tried with a basic html even.
I am not using vpn.
I have tried 3 browsers.
#"Something went wrong" when interpreting code.

Same issue for me as a paid user
try logging out and logging back it. I wonder if your session expired
im having this same issue
I tried with several accounts, the error is the same. I also tried with one more device.
hmmmm, that's rather strange. Could you try it on Firefox?
It worked!
awesome! I think it's a caching issue with Chromium-based browsers, but I don't know for sure
Surely, I have tried edge, chrome and opera.
Same issue on Firefox for me
Has anyone managed to fix this?
Di you have any web protection services?
It’s not web protection
There is an issue right now where some are getting these errors even as paid user
Same issue, I logged out - started new chat, it worked for a bit... Now getting same error (paid user also)
It appears to be working again now.
It is a local issue not openai
Also getting same issue, not able to past code
Same here, I don't know why, but some codes work and others don't. I'm a paid user too. In firefox works, but not in chrome.
Same issue here. Some javascript gives an error while other scripts don't. The length doesn't seem to matter - I can prompt a 500 line script without any issues and another script with 100 lines will keep giving the error over and over, regardless of the browser, cleared cache, different chat window, different version, with or without code interpreter.
Same issue here with code pasting automatically failing while using the Edge browser. By sending smaller pieces of code it seems to work (unacceptable!). Someone mentioned code pasting still working with Firefox, so I installed FF and it seems to be working again with the code pastes that were not working with Edge.
getting the same error on every browser i try with any fix mentioned here tried. it is definitely on the openai side. please ping us when this is fixed team ❤️
Do you have any web protection services?
Adblocker?
Anything that could block recorces?
Been fiddling around with this error and I can paste some 500 lines of javascript in a prompt just fine and in some cases it fails with even 1 line of code.
This gives an error:
`What about this code:
row.append('<td class="repair-description"><input class="editable form-control" data-column="' + langColumns.desc + '" value="' + option[langColumns.desc] + '"></td>')`
While this does not give an error:
`row.append('<td class="repair-description"><input class="editable form-control" data-column="' + langColumns.desc + '" value="' + option[langColumns.desc] + '"></td>');'
code with text above
Same code without the text above
I'm literally so pissed
Why does it keep saying something went wrong when pasting a ckde
it was perfectly fine yesterday
anyone found a temporary fix for this?
Man I can't get to work since chat gpt be helping me out with bug fixing
same, stuck on my work now
This is so stressful, I'm lazy looking at stackoverflow
i saw someone mentioned this, try different browser, some works some did not, hope it works for you
3 august update...
it's not, its a bug, i'm a paid user and i'm facing the same thing, try different browser, literally same code, firefox is working now but edge & chrome generates the error
I'm on paid plan and gpt 4 has the same problem. I can't imagine using 3.5 for coding. 4 is SO much better (when it works lol)
SO, reaching out on the website's chat takes a week response time, the openai community forum has no information or updates about the issue and here on discord there's also nobody around to confirm the bug and provide an update? How do you get in touch with this company? This should be a priority bug that should be fixed asap.
Will try Firefox, but stopping in to say I have experienced this since the outage yesterday.
*update lol
It was down for a bit yesterday though too: https://status.openai.com/

I was able to get it working in Firefox, but not Chrome.
