You can neither get it back nor can you create a new account to get another free credit. Your credit was not used, it was expired. Creating a new account will not get you another credit. You will need to add a payment method to begin using the API.

It's a policy that you agreed to when you originally signed up. The free credit was only good for 3 months. That was always made clear.

Is it nonsense, that it expired before you could use it, or is it nonsense that you signed up for a service you didn't use?

@sour bolt well, the first one ofcourse... the second one does not apply.. i signed up so i could use chatGPT...
not knowing that the free 3 months after signup expires this thats on me, but that doesnt make it less nonsense... chatGPT has nothing to do with the API...
