OpenAI API Key deleted from profile in OpenAI website | OpenAI | Page 1

From one second to the other, my OpenAI API Key has been removed from the website. I realised as a prompt in API came back with Request failed with exception Incorrect API key provided: sk-T9UsR***************************************tSbt. You can find your API key at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys.

What is going on? I did 100% not delete that API Key. In fact, I was just prompting it happily and then one minute to the other, this.

It is actually, de facto impossible for me to delete my own key, as I would have to create a new one first.
(I just realised this now as I created a new key)

Thus, something very off is going on here.

is there any chance that you leaked the APIKey?

when OpenAI finds about leaked APIKeys, they usually invalidate it and notify you via email

if you accidentally post on github, all it takes is a few moments and they kill your key.
