This prompt can be added to existing prompt in order to automate the conversation with chatGPT infinitely. It is more of a proof of concept or a prompt component than a fully functional prompt on its own.

I think this type of prompting depicts an untapped niche within prompt engineering. I haven't seen it done before and I can already think of a couple powerful applications such as:

  • Long form content generation
  • Indefinite sequence continuation
  • autonomous iterative improvement and evaluation of content (such as prompts, written content, etc)
  • automatic and endless hypothetical conversations

This doesn't always work but I've found that it does work quite frequently. It works better for prompts that generate long-form "continuous" content (such as lists, textRPG campaigns, feedback loops, etc) and it seems to result in infinite continuation more often in gpt 3.5 than in gpt 4
