Reproduction steps:

  1. Create lengthy, detailed conversation with ChatGPT 4.0 as a writing assistant. Create many different separate data points - locations, characters, etc. - and include in text. Use ChatGPT to improve text, brainstorm ideas, and so on.
  2. Overload it with questions?

Expected behavior (from screenshot):

  1. Describes interior of character's home.

Actual behavior:

  1. Returns error message as posted above.

Attempted fixes (unsuccessful):

  1. Installed Firefox clean.
  2. Disabled VPN.
  3. Cleared cache/cookies.
  4. Rebooted computer.
  5. Tried Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Chrome for Android.
  6. Tried other chats - other chats work fine, this one does not. (Title: Light Comedic Fantasy Novel)

Does ChatGPT 4.0 eventually just give up if its head is too full? It would be a disaster if I had to start the chat over again since the new chat wouldn't have the context of the old. However, if the limitations are what they are, then I understand.

Hi all, I seem to have unlocked this thread by choosing a different wording of the question - namely, 'What does the interior of Silas's home look like?'

This would be good to look into. This is a weird bug.

If you can show me the Network Tab and select the errored call (so I can see the headers and information) then I can try to help.

quite a few errors, but I did retry it a number of times and I can see a number of these errors are duplicates

Sorry @real edge I need the network tab. Looks like you are in the Console tab. In that same area there should be a Network and in your screen it looks like /backend-api/conversation is erroring. If you click that and send it to me I can help.

yup that's it. Now keep that open and make the error happen. Then click on the red one with the 500 value.

I actually can't make the error happen anymore - i rephrased the statement and it actually worked after not working on the original statement

The original message of 'Please describe the interior of Silas's modest home.' threw the error with 100% reliability over the last two days

Changing the text to 'What does the interior of Silas's home look like?" returned a satisfactory answer

Now that it's unlocked, the original sentence works fine.
