Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Can you analyze this article?
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/enus/library/dn749858.aspx

Expected result:

Sure, this article focuses on....

Actual result:

As an AI developed by OpenAI, I'm currently unable to access or retrieve information from external websites, databases, or APIs directly. My responses are based on the information I was trained on up until my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. I can generate responses based on a wide variety of topics based on the data I was trained on, but I don't have the capability to directly read, access, or pull in live data from the internet or external sites.

Additional information

Browser: Chrome
OS: Windows 10

Previously utilizing the Chat GPT-4 plus model I was able to share various URL's to articles, PDF's, journals, etc. and the model was able to analyze the contents. It even provided references.
I just tried this feature again and discovered it is no longer possible. Is this a bug or was this feature of passing URL's into Chat GPT-4 removed?
Attached are two screenshots showing when I was able to do this and now showing it is no longer possible.

Same exact issue.

It gives me a similar response every time I tell it to look at a URL.

Last example:

"I can't directly open or interact with web pages or URLs"

"I don't have the capability to directly view or analyze content from URLs, including viewing source code or web page content."

"I'm unable to directly access or open URLs. My functionality does not include browsing the internet or interacting with live web pages, which means I can't directly view, interact with, or analyze content from the URL you provided.

However, I'm here to help with any questions you might have or offer guidance based on the information you can share about what you're trying to achieve or any issues you're encountering. If you have specific code snippets or error messages you need help with, feel free to share them, and I'll do my best to provide assistance."

Why would that article be relevant when it literally says it will use Bing to browse the web, etc. when using ChatGPT 4?

Nevermind, I misread the original question! sorry!

I can ask internally... this isn't a feature I use much
