i type anything, like a simple question or hello, intead of getting any answer i got this error message "Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com."

This happens in any browser, with version 3 and 4

I have exactly the same error for a long time! And also with GPT-4!
I'm just wondering if I should really continue to pay money for it!

I have now tried on a completely different computer in a completely different region of the world, there it works. 😦

OK, I had NordVPN started as a client, but without VPN. And that blocked. That can not be that this is prevented for queries! That you should not pay over it I can still comprehend. But that you can not use the connection, and certainly not if there is no VPN connection, I can not understand!

I had the same problem...I had to completely turn off NordVPN while using ChatGPT. I feel like the problem is maybe with NordVPN? Or...there are data collection processes running in OpenAI software that abend the ChatGPT capabilities when on...either way, it is a problem.
