#Input sometimes disappears

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use ChatGPT with model GPT-4
  2. Submit input. Input can be either initial prompt or subsequent reply. Repeated attempts will be necessary to reproduce the bug, as it is intermittent. Might help to use flaky wifi.

Expected result:
On submission, text instantly appears in the above conversation log. This is how it previously worked, until a day or two ago. That allows the user to copy'n'paste it even if the network is down.

Actual result:
Submitted text disappears from the screen. Then, a moment later, it sometimes reappears in the above conversation log, and GPT then responds. But sometimes (and this is the bug) it never reappears on the screen. The input is just irrevocably gone, and there is no response from GPT.

Additional information
Browser: Firefox 113
OS: GNU/Linux
Duration: Ongoing for the past 24 to 48 hours.

Me too the same problem on chrome,
It started for me yesterday and since then I can't ask questions when the model is gpt4

This is still happening. It really needs a fix. >50% of my input disappears. Once it happens, the only workaround is to refresh the page.

It appears this has finally been fixed. I wish there was more communication about it. Thank you for the fix, assuming I'm right that it has indeed been fixed.

I take it back. The problem is happening again.

Not only is it happening again, but every few minutes input just stops working, and I need to refresh the page. It's really bad.
