What was the inspiration?

I remember a picture in just black and blue of a wizard with a blue light on his staff looking at the viewer. I wanted to do that one before I settled on the Fjord one. This picture reminds me of it.

Honestly, I was testing a description generator from the Prompt Library. But I was very impressed with this result because it really does remind me of the fantasy book covers of days past.
