@maiden marsh do you happen to have Nord vpn installed?

Getting the same issue. @elfin knot I do have nordvpn installed, but currently not connected. If you're able to assist, that would be awesome. Here's some addition details:

  • Pro member
  • Like @maiden marsh , I've also cleared all cookies, local storage and cache to no avail
  • Everytime I attempt to send a message, I receive these errors in the console:
1. POST https://chat.openai.com/backend-api/conversation 403 (Forbidden) | (anonymous) @ _app-c63e55e026a9ee3a.js:14

2. FatalServerError: Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com. | _app-c63e55e026a9ee3a.js:14

I hope I don't have to completely uninstall NordVPN to get this to work 😅 Any thoughts?

It does seem to be working on my Iphone. I'm going to close all nordvpn tasks and see if the issue persists (perhaps simply toggling the connection off on nord isn't enough)

Okay that actually worked. @elfin knot you mentioned nordvpn - any idea why this is occuring?

elfin knot

Because it masks you ip

#

And openai doesn’t like that haha

lol that makes sense tbh.

wonder if there's a way to whitelist chat.openai.com for nord's web protection...

quick search shows that using the chrome extension opposed to the desktop app does work. gonna test that out.
