#GPT 4 limit shared across plus accounts

You cannot have 2 accounts
Strange rule, but ok...
That’s against ToS and both accounts are at risk for ban now btw
So I would highly suggest deleting one
I mean.. sure...
One for work
One for personal use
A very common requirement I would imagine to not share data across work / personal.
But I'll just send feedback to the team then
(e) Free Tier. You may not create more than one account to benefit from credits provided in the free tier of the Services. If we believe you are not using the free tier in good faith, we may charge you standard fees or stop providing access to the Services.
I don't see anywhere in the ToS against multiple plus accounts
Can you link or paste where it says this? @normal stump
OpenAI has implemented measures to prevent misuse of its models, including ChatGPT. The use of multiple accounts to bypass restrictions is considered misuse and is therefore prohibited. The policies and restrictions are in place to ensure the responsible use of the model and maintain the integrity of the service. Some reasons why a user might not be able to create multiple accounts include:
-
User Agreement: When you sign up for a ChatGPT account, you agree to abide by OpenAI's policies and terms of use. These policies typically prohibit actions that circumvent restrictions, which would include creating multiple accounts.
-
Security Measures: To prevent misuse of the service, OpenAI has security measures in place that can identify and restrict attempts to create multiple accounts. They might track IP addresses, device identifiers, or use other techniques to identify users who try to create multiple accounts.
-
Fair Usage: Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions is not fair to other users who are abiding by the rules. It could also potentially overburden the system, leading to slower response times for all users.
-
Ethical Considerations: Artificial intelligence has the potential for misuse, and OpenAI is committed to ensuring its technologies are used ethically and responsibly. Circumventing restrictions could enable behavior that is not in line with these ethical commitments.
-
Legal Consequences: Depending on the jurisdiction, creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions might have legal consequences. Misuse of a service can result in account suspension or even legal action.
Remember that OpenAI's goal is to ensure that everyone can use AI in a way that is safe, ethical, and responsible. It's important for all users to respect these principles and abide by the rules.
