Hey! I love chat gpt. I've been using it for my work with coding and find it extremely helpful. I have a plus account, however chatgpt has stopped working on my desktop. I can still login and use chatgpt on my phone, and work laptop, but it no longer works on my desktop, I get the above error.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open chat.openai.com
  2. Login on Chrome, firefox, or explorer on my desktop.
  3. Try using the Api.
  4. Receive error: Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.

things I have tried to fix the issue.
Logging out and back in
making sure servers are up
clearing cache and cookies
refreshing the page
uninstalling chrome and reinstalling chrome
Incognito tab

Nothing I've tried has fixed the issue, However I can still access the api just fine on my mobile, and work laptop.

Also note: this has been happening for over 2 weeks now, I have tried submitting a ticket and waiting for a response.

Greetings. The chat.openai.com site which you use ChatGPT on is not related to the API. The API is a separate service that allows developers to programmatically access OpenAI's language models. As such, this support forum isn't where you'll want to be.

Regrettably, this seems to be a common issue with Chromium browsers. I've seen some people say Firefox works better if you log out from everywhere and try on Firefox, following the steps you outlined with Chrome. You could ask in #chatgpt-discussions.
