So for about a week, whenever I try to use ChatGPT in Chrome/Edge, all I get is the error message: "Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com".

If I use Firefox, ChatGPT works fine.

If I use Chrome/Edge on another computer, it works fine.

I've tried deleting cache/cookies, rebooting, and even incognito mode. Nothing works.

I'm a ChatGPT+ subscriber and would really like to get this issue fixed. Please help!

🚨 If you are getting the "Something went wrong." error: 🚨

  • Disconnect from your VPN (if you are using one) and shutdown/close completely the client. Bring the Task Manager up and kill the process.;
  • Try again with a non Chromium-based browser (i.e. Firefox);
  • Try the method that someone found here in this Discord... "log in to https://platform.openai.com/playground and click the ChatGPT Try it now button"

I have the same problem, chatGPT works on my phone, but not on my laptop. On any browser.

The link above also doesnt work, it asks to verify (check box) says that its checking my browser, and then asks me to verify again. Stuck in a loop.

The solution is on the other thread: Nord VPN disable WebProtection. It worked for me
