Media companies have a great influence on our society and in many countries there are hardly any tools for citizen control of their activity.
We invite volunteers for an open source project for media tracking automation.
The objective is to develop a system that daily downloads audio from the central news programs of at least 3 of the main communication companies (in this case Chilean), transcribes them to text with Whisper, and then generates reports with data that allows showing editorial decisions such as most used words, distribution of news time, etc.
We are a group of 3 people so far, we have done some experiments and developed the first stages of the process, but we want to open the project to people interested in the topic.
