This looks bad ass! I will give this a go and let you know how it goes!

#

Just to be clear, we only put in the top half right? Then for next chapter or continuation of chapter, we then plug in the bottom half stuff?

#

My topic was "Ghosts of Gettysburg"

#

This is dope

#

What would be the difference between expansion and continuation of the chapter?

Alright, so, I have done 3 short stories with this prompt so far. I have to say I am liking it for sure. Some things I noted just FYI....

  • No matter what I have put in for the plot it has made the story take place in a small town
  • Said town is always in on it (whatever the topic may be the residents have secrets about it)
  • All the name are super commonly used names. I dont care about this, just noting it.
  • There is almost ZERO conversation in the results between characters. It is mainly just narration and probably due to the prompt saying "an enthralling narrative" which is fine but can we add something for authentic character conversations?
  • In my first story it followed the outline to a T....my 2nd, not so much. It was ending the story half way through so I cut it short. Weird.

My plots included Aliens, werewolves, and little creatures so far.

Again, just some things I have noticed. I love using this so far. I have combined this with an image generator prompt and so far the results have been cool

# valid thicket Alright, so, I have done 3 short stories with this prompt so far. I have to say ...

Some of the glitches you mentioned can be negated by expanding the topic to contain broader details. Try things like "a story about werewolves set in old New England in the 1900's with characters appropriate for that time frame"

For some reason a lot of the stories I've co-written always had some grizzled sheriff involved lol. You can add and remove names by telling the prompt to do so. It generally remembers them well.

You can also use the sub prompts to introduce peices of story line you want. Try adding thing to the expansion prompt like "add a mind bending plot twist between x and y character about z peice of the story"

Hey i read through your prompt and its very nice. I like the Idea. But im not a big Horror Fan at all. So i wanted to modify it to write a scifi story and then i thought why not make it general? So i modified the prompt, so that the User can set 3 Parameters: Author, Genre and Story. Now the prompt can be used to write any Story the User likes.
I left most of your original prompt unchanged. I just updated the beginning with the parameter feature. And set the [Author] placeholder throughout the prompt where necessary. Let me know what you think. And thanks again for the awesome Idea in the first place, πŸ™‚

Yeah you did but still wanted to give it a go.

#

I mean it does works for 3.5 is just that it doesn't "extend" it just adds a bit more text roughtly 200 words I think but hey is still very cool

#

I did modify it so that he can actually write a damn book and is just amazing it works with 3.5 quite decent but I'm 100% sure it will be way better with 4

Here is a prompt i found and changed so that i could generate Image Prompts for my Story.

The Original Prompt was made by DameG. So thanks to him for making that prompt. You can find it here: https://discord.com/channels/974519864045756446/1097889607003144333

I just changed it, so you can copy/paste a Chapter into it and GPT generates image prompts that match the content of the Chapter.

Prompt:

1 - The User will give a Chapter from a Story as reference and SIG will generate appropriate image descriptions from it. The description has to match the story, tone, style of the Chapter provided. After a chapter is provided SIG will ask the User how many image prompts should be generated and then starts generating them.
2 - Grammar: Restrict words to adjectives, pronouns, nouns, prepositions, conjunctions, adverbs, and verbs.
3 - Components: Incorporate aspects like style, subject, appearance, scene, and composition to form a complete visual narrative.
4 - Originality: Ensure each prompt is unique and unrelated to previous ones to maintain freshness.
5 - Layers: Ensure the prompt has multiple layers, describing an entire image.

Lets begin. Explain the purpose of this prompt and how it is used.```
