#Prompts4All - An open source site for AI prompts

I created this because I was tired of seeing "premium" prompts scattered behind different paywalls around the internet. Prompts being a paid-only thing just seems silly to me, they should be freely available to all.

User upvoting and bookmarking/favoriting is on the roadmap.

The big focus now is adding more prompts and ensure that what's there is high quality.

Also thinking of adding a "builder" widget that can piece together different prompts into a single prompt.

Happy and grateful for any feedback you may have... please share! Also happy for any contributions (the site is fully open source).

Silly or not. But as closer we get to a point where people are gonna lose their jobs.. We need to create new once.
I take this seriously and promt engineering may be something NLP.

Great initiative. To many out there trying to earn money on the hype without any value

Thank you all for the positive feedback (it's encouraging) 🙏

Also grateful for any constructive criticisms you may have (lay it on me!). I really want to make this the "best" (exhaustive in scope but also really high quality) prompt DB / resource out there.

may add a way for folks to add prompts directly from the site in the future... would be good to get a sense of how useful folks would find this.

staring the project on github and sharing about it with others is a good way to help support it.

A new use account feature with the ability to "like/upvote" prompts is nearly done.

Time and motivation to work on this comes and goes... not having it monetized is great on one hand but not the other 😂

In all seriousness, for the sustainability of the project, trying to figure out ways to monetize it that keep it free and open to all but also allow me to justify continuing to improve and grow the resource.

Anyone have ideas on how I could monetize the project while still keeping general access to it 100% free?

#

One monetization idea is to create an official "Prompts4All" browser extension. It would be paid only (though maybe it'd be a 1-time payment). It would allow quickly inserting prompts into the chat when on specific sites (such as ChatGPT's primary interface, Bard's interface, etc). Would you find this useful? Would you pay for this?

Another monetization idea is advertisements, but I don't think the site has enough traffic yet to attract advertisers and, regardless, this seems to go against the ethos of the project.

Thank you so much mate. I am a beginner with GPT, and I like the idea of having free prompts development. It is incredible how we can learn from each other. Actually I was almost buying from those internet sellers the “ultimate whatever guide” but then find your post. 🙌🏽

Hopefully folks have been continuing to benefit from Prompts4All!

Been thinking about the financial sustainability of being able to continue improving and supporting the site... thinking about adding some premium features that would be available via a one-time payment... the first idea is the ability to create private prompts (ones that would only be available to you)...

Would anyone here pay a fair amount (just once, for life) for the ability to create private prompts (or any other specific features)?

Hey man thanks for the resource. I entered my email to sign up and it prompted me for an auth code but didn't arrive in my inbox, might want to check on that.

# raven cargo this contradicts you telling that all prompts should be free, by putting it behi...

no, there's a difference between premium prompts and private ones (the thinking is to add support for private prompts, not premium ones).

all the while, this would imply that there'd be some type of benefits for actually adding ones personal/private prompts to the site. currently there isn't. there would have to be for this to make sense.

regardless, as a general improvement to the site i'm thinking of allowing users to add prompts directly. currently it's possible to create a PR in the github repo to have prompts added but basically noone has done this (actually only 1 person so far). the github PR approach works for technical folks but not for others. the thinking is to make it accessible to all. pretty sure the site would get more prompts added with this, which would benefit all of us...

#

the "premium feature" route might be the best path forward here...

  • private prompts (given the above discussion might seem counter intuitive to the spirit of the site...)
  • email notifications for new prompts (with ability to narrow them to certain categories)
  • ability to create prompt collections (maybe this should be available to all users, not just premium users, since the more the better?)
  • browser plugin that would allow injecting prompts into OpenAI's chat input
  • other?

I like free prompts but you have to remember: Prompt Engineer is a real job already. See it from this perspective: Would you want you’re self written Programm to be given out for free? In the end code is really the same as prompts. Just „code for gpt“.
