(available only in Italy, for now) You can enter your own OpenAI API key or buy in-app tokens. The app supports threads - à la ChatGPT, with context, streaming (when using your own API key), parameter adjusting, exporting, suggestions and many more features. Give it a try https://apps.apple.com/app/akme-ai-knowledge/id6446436196
We plan to launch in Germany by the end of this week and US by end of the month.
Love to get feedback, of any kind!

AKME v1.1 is now available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Is there an ETA for Poland?
I think this is the only app supporting an API key
It supports an api key or you can buy credits
@shell zodiac Siema! Will need to ask my polish friends if they can help with translation
but yes, I do want to add more languages
and you can enter your own API key or buy in-app tokens (though, to account for Apple tax and expenses, those are more expensive than the OpenAI tokens, so it's more convenient to make an OpenAI account and simply enter the API key in the app)
i love this so much
everyone just wants to make money through expensive subscriptions without the option to input a key
Sure, I can help to translate
It makes really happy to hear this! Thank you 🥰!
Be careful, there are a lot of apps using the gpt trademark to scam people!
Yeah it's a real issue recently
Medium
In the last 30 days, I have been closely monitoring the Mac App Store and have made a disturbing discovery. In the midst of the OpenAI…
Even though I reported all the apps I found, they’re still available and people are still getting scammed
Yeah it's awful
But it's crazy that they have 8 accounts that cost $100/year each and it's still profitable
have you seen their prices? 🙂
most have subscriptions that start at ± 10 euro/week
I've posted the localisation files on github @ https://github.com/smuggled-bits/AKME but I still need to add an explanation for some translation keys
Oh i totally forgot lol I'll make a PR tomorrow
all good, no hurry
I'm working on v1.2 to fix some bugs and add a Siri intent, so you can ask AKME questions via Siri
I made a pull request
Please don't discontinue this project because of the new official app, the app only supports account, not tokens
I might not have a choice soon
I didn't open-source the app to avoid more scammers simply copying the code and releasing the app, but with the "official" app, even with all the tracking it has, OpenAI could ask Apple to remove it (hope to be proved wrong, but ...time will tell)
I'm working on adding Siri intents - activate Siri and tell it "Ask AKME ...", Siri forwards the request to AKME and returns the response - would this be something useful?
how is this different from the one that OpenAI has released/
you mean the app? for starters, AKME uses the OpenAI API so prompts are not used for future model training, hence more privacy (yes, the ChatGPT app also has a "private" mode, but when enabled that doesn't keep history, while AKME does)
also, with AKME, you can use your own API key and can select the model but also adjust the model parameters like temperature, top_p etc
not to mention the 150+ editable prompts that greatly help with the quality of the replies
there are similarities with the ChatGPT app, but overall, I think AKME is better - yes, I know I'm biased as this is my app 🙂
Yes, very nice feature
Taking a break from AKME, I built rolematch.me - a service to help job seekers better align their resume to a specific job description, increasing their chances and helping them convert the job ad into a job offer! The service is free and a private beta is running at rolematch.me - project link: https://discord.com/channels/974519864045756446/1117419194800156753
