YouTube is overflowing with content making it difficult to always keep up to date with all the videos we need to watch. In light of this, I decided to create YTRecap, a simple app that summarizes any YouTube video, allowing you to stay informed without spending hours watching! 🚀

By using closed captions and passing them to the language model provided by OpenAI, YTRecap can extract key information from videos and present it in a concise, digestible format.

@outer badge Can you obtain (auto)subtitles for videos so they don't rely on video descriptions and thumbnails only?

Like this livestreamed content that depended on descriptions to be summarized only

But at least it could translate descriptions from other languages into English and add some context. (But not all of these contexts were factual).
