word by word replies not working on my system.

I have tried everything from clearing cache, cookies, removing Adblock, ensuring JavaScript is enabled, updating my PC, but on chrome (default browser) and on edge my ChatGPT seems to type out everything it needs to for a reply in the background, and once it’s finished it then displays the answer, so I could sometimes be waiting over a minute staring at an empty screen like in this example here. Logging into a different pc and on my phone, the word by word replies work. This is the same with all models on ChatGPT. This video was 1 min 26 secs long but had to cut it down to be able to send on discord.

ChatGPT is not able to count the words it produces with any degree of accuracy, it is a limit of the model type used

This was an example, it’s not regarding counting words, it’s about the fact that it doesn’t show it’s word by word response, as if it were a ‘ghost’ typing on my keyboard, it is just a blank screen for a while and then a huge amount of writing will appear.

you could try with a different browser, there are two modes that replys can be sent in, streaming mode and all at once mode, I'm not sure why one type is used over another, but it is not a fault.

To me this sounds like a connectivity issue. If your internet randomly drops out for a few seconds then that'll do it; it's not something OpenAI can do anything about

Thanks for replying, it doesn’t work on any other browser either unfortunately, it does work on my phone and my housemates laptop though, same account.
