Play the Minecraft adventure with an AI CHAT GPT4🌟

The idea came from a video I watched that talked about an observation that every minecraft player has experienced: Loneliness in Minecraft.

When you launch minecraft you arrive in a vast and beautiful world, alone in a world so vast🙁.

So I said to myself why not create an NPC that will accompany us throughout this adventure. An NPC that we can talk to in difficult moments and that can help us throughout our adventure.

I called him JO💛, an NPC like no other that is connected to the GPT3✨ AI to offer a unique experience to the player on Minecraft.

This is alternate use … great for younger kids like mine who want to chat online because they lack the social skills in real life but have zero stranger danger for online games.

I would add 2 things:

Make it a human skin, not villager.

Make it talk to the other person in chat.

You could feed GPT-4 a prompt like "You are a minecraft player's friend, not an assistant. Do not reply with any robotic statements, or things such as "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Unless the player asked a question."

Thank and Yes I'm currently working to link the chat to the GPT4 api and for the NPC personality prompt I would surely need the help of the community (you) to create the ideal prompt.
For the villager skin I also plan to change it by a human skin🌟

Do you have a lot of development experience?

Yes but I'm a student in web app development and in terms of minecraft mod development actually I started playing minecraft 1 week ago 😅 and I really liked it,
so the thing that will motivate me to start this project is that when I started the game I was alone in the world and I didn't really know what to do, so I thought with a companion on the side of the player the experience could be much cooler ^^

Not so much, im taking my web certification in HTML and CSS so I guess that counts. I've made some websites for my school to help other students with keeping track of things, etc

There is a Minecraft server Autcraft for autistic kiddos that has something similar. We don’t have whitelisting for my daughter yet but if it was something you could easily implement in other servers it would be so amazing. My godson was groomed to the point of arranged abduction on Roblox so safety is a huge concern when communicating with strangers. Autistic kiddos often have a hard time socializing face to face and online don’t really see the cues that someone is unsafe. This gives them an opportunity that helps practice those social skills and is safe. Hell I even like chatting with ChatGpt. You mentioned you are a student. I bet you could receive a grant to pay you to work on this over the summer if you angled it right. There is a ton of funding for these types of projects. I am a student who does funded research to keep the cash flowing without having to get a boring job.

After a week of absence because I was in exam week I come back to you with a demo of the integration of gpt3 that I made in Minecraft with the NPC Chat GPT4 that follows the player during his adventure on minecraft.

Idea, use eleven labs ai to generate a voice that will play when chatgpt is responding, and also put in the prompt that ChatGPT shoud be super annoying
