On March 20th, I subscribed to the ChatGPT Plus service using my email address. However, within less than a day, my account was inexplicably frozen. I suspect that I may have accidentally input my API on a third-party plugin, and I am unsure if there will be any further charges to my credit card. Currently, I am unable to access my account and receive an error message stating that it has been disabled. Can you please assist me in restoring my account? This is important to me as it contains my conversation data.
I understand that my actions may have violated OpenAI's usage policy. However, I want to emphasize that my intention was purely for curiosity and learning purposes, and I was unaware of the many limitations of the API usage. I did not use the API for malicious or commercial purposes.
I believe that a temporary ban warning should be given to users who accidentally misuse the API, with detailed rule explanations provided via email. Users should be able to manually lift the temporary disablement through the email.
I have sent two emails, but I have not received any response.
