Unable to upgrade to GPT Plus

When attempting to 'Upgrade to Plus' on the open AI chat toolbar on the left, an error message is received:

"The payment page encountered an error. Please try again. If the problem continues, please visit help.openai.com."

make sure you have added your phone number to your Microsoft account

I have my phone number added to the Google account I used to sign up/in. But I'm still getting this error message

is the phone number you added valid for the location you are in?

Yep it is. It’s a Singapore number and I’m in Singapore

if that fails can you also try using your mobile device on mobile data and not your wifi/work/school network
