Are you using Google or Microsoft sign in?
I use microsoft email. Sign in options is not available last year.

I have a valid phone number in my MS account.
I also dont see the "my accounts" section chat gpt.

If you're trying to upgrade to ChatGPT Plus, can you try through the ChatGPT page again? Through the usual upgrade/my account button. Earlier errors for this should be fixed now.
platform.openai.com is where payments are handled for pay-by-token for API usage. It will not help you gain access to a ChatGPT Plus subscription
If you're still seeing an issue w/ paying for ChatGPT Plus through the upgrade/my account button by getting the "The payments page encountered an error"... please DM me your email that you use with ChatGPT
understood, I figured there was some disconnect between older accounts with no details and the payment methods on file, I've removed that post
I am also experiencing the same issue. I login using a Microsoft account and processed payment this morning to upgrade to plus. I have since can no longer access chatgpt.

So I had chat GPT plus, and then I didn't. And I went and checked and it hadn't been paid. So I paid it, or I thought I paid it, and then it said I was still free so I tried to pay it again. That didn't work so I went and looked at it and it said that there was a past due which is strange since it's a monthly prepay, but I went ahead and paid that, then I checked my bank and I've been charged three times. I have two active subscriptions on my account.
However the chat GPD client states that I have free tier account. Seems there is some issue with communicating the actual purchase of the subscription to the front end or however that is handled.
Second for some reason it will allow you to continually purchase more and more subscriptions for a single account. Which suggests that it doesn't realize that you are already subscribed.
And I paid three times and for some reason I only have two subscriptions which seems just a bit odd. All in all it boils down to this, the account was paid, three times, and I have two subscriptions showing on the subscription management page, however the chat GPT dialogue shows that I am still a free tier. And I do not have access to Plus

Likewise... bummer. For me it was two charges - they've got some disconnect between their Stripe setup and their product. Gotta be piling up
And ultimately they are gonna owe that $ back

Well I'm sure they will, that's not really the problem the problem is everybody's account is still not getting what subscription we have properly adhered to it
Oh I already wrote stripe as well because I don't know if it's stripe, cuz it seems odd that stripe would maintain I don't know how the subscriptions are handled, but stripe shows me as having two, which suggest that maybe stripe maintains them, and if that's the case then stripe is probably not properly communicating something or is misconfigured because it should not allow more than a single subscription per account
They are def using stripe for payment processing but whatever manages their plan tiers internally is out of sync with their stripe setup
and every day you have paid for that they don't provide you that plan is $ they owe back to you IMO
(on top of the double billing)
Well I mean all they have to do is kick my subscription forward 2 days or whatever and it'll be okay,
@barren garnet Any news on your situation? It seems like the same issue is affecting a lot of users today, including myself. I paid twice as well. Have sent a message to support through their chat and sent an email to support@openai.com. Its frustrating that an AI company is unable to answer customer requests. Seems like that's one of the use cases their AI would be perfect for.
No nothing
They don't seem to give too much of a damn. They got really quick on it when people could see others waifu roleplay and whatever else they were doing when everyone else's questions got sent to different users. But not a word when they take all our money, multiple times, and they strip away our subscription tier..
That's too bad. I was hoping to resolve this as soon as possible. Especially the missing access to GPT-4 is frustrating. I am currently working on introducing chat based LLMs as productivity tools in my own organization and I'm using ChatGPT as a precursor to developing an integrated solution. Perhaps I just have to wait for the API access or look at alternatives....

Could you help us? We are around 150 users with this problem and we are increasing every day. We have sent emails to support without success. Some of us have been charged more than once without their account being activated. We are desperate.
