GPT-3 is well-known for hallucinating when it relates to scientific work. It'll easily generate non-existent sources and links, as well as untrue concepts to some degree. This is good prompt for GPT-4 but not for GPT-3

If you want to find realistic scientific paper or reference you should use Bing chat instead. Because it have capability to retrieve data from search engine (Bing)

I played around with this question. ChatGPT told me that prefixing with the emoji was part of the problem and that if you rewrite '📚 Sumber:' as 'Sumber 📚:' that you should see improvement.

I'd test that myself, but I don't speak Indonesian so I cannot verify results.

However, I asked it to give me an example, and this is what it said:

"Pertanyaan yang diajukan cukup menarik. Menurut penelitian terbaru yang saya temukan, hal tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh faktor A dan B (NamaPenulis, Tahun). Namun, penelitian lain yang dilakukan pada populasi yang berbeda menunjukkan bahwa faktor C juga memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam hal ini (NamaPenulis, Tahun). Diharapkan informasi ini dapat membantu menjawab pertanyaan Anda. 📚Sumber: NamaPenulis. (Tahun). Judul artikel. Nama Jurnal, Volume, Halaman."

Note that when it wrote out the section "Sumber" it successfully prefixed it with the emoji. I have no explanation for this.

The root problem here is that as far as the AI language model is concerned, the emoji 📚 is a token, and that token has relevance to the concept of books, and unless you properly contextualize the emoji it doesn't differentiate the emoji from the concept behind the emoji.

It's an interesting alignment problem in conversing with an AI language model.
