#ChatGPT 3.5/4 has Incomplete Responses far more often.

Hello. I just wanted to document this somewhere as I don't see it spoken about often from a coding perspective.

As of this week especially, both variants of GPT are failing to provide complete responses, especially while coding.

I understand that the bot has limits, but it will not complete even the shortest of code prompts. Here is an example

My initial coding prompt is only 208 words.

Asking GPT (both variants) for a code block it was only able to produce 48 words total back before cutting itself off.

I tested further and the initial prompt size really does not matter. It still cuts itself off consistently.

I've made new chats, cleared chats, and specifically request that it break things up into parts and it still does this.

Not that it should matter, but I also tried across 3 different devices as well.

This does not even include the network/server errors in between where it had to be regenerated multiple times, but I understand that is due to load.

Hopefully, this post can act as a master support post for anyone else experiencing this issue.

My take is that it's probably a timeout. If the load of high, the responses generate slowly and get cut off after some predetermined time.
